DOMESTIC VIOLENCE. NON-OFFENDER'S EDUCATION. TRAUMA THERAPY.

Exploration for family members to evaluate their current volatile situation; especially the biggest consideration given to the victim and then decide the healthiest alternatives for safety. Assessments will aid in decisions to reconcile or separate; considering all aspects of their family make-up and how it will affect all members. Counseling to include support for family members who desire to exit the dangerous environment they are in and/or address the areas of concern for reconciliation.

Focus on supporting and empowering the non-offending parent to aid in lessening the negative impact of trauma on the child/family; therefore, promoting healing and recovery.

Trauma-Focused Therapy is a specific approach to therapy that recognizes and emphasizes understanding how the traumatic experience impacts a child's mental, behavioral, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being.
